The Solution and Software Architect will build on existing strategic materials, requirements, and architecture guidelines. The focus lies on developing and refining architectural concepts and ensuring consistency between architecture vision and system design across both initiatives.

Aufgaben:
- Define end-to-end solution architectures across multiple systems and internal software architectures at application level
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, IT landscape, and governance standards while bridging high-level solution design with implementation-level decisions
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solution and software architectures, including APIs, data pipelines, event-driven architectures, AI services, and chatbot solutions
- Define architectural components, interfaces, and interactions to ensure a coherent and robust system architecture
- Develop and document architectural decisions using Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and maintain corresponding solution and software architecture documentation
- Ensure architecture meets non-functional requirements such as scalability, availability, performance, security, and maintainability across both system landscape and application implementation
- Evaluate and propose suitable technologies and frameworks for AI-driven solutions, chatbot platforms, and scalable backend systems
- Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies across system integrations and application-level design
- Provide architectural input for transitioning analytical proof-of-concepts into productive applications
- Align architecture concepts and outputs with relevant stakeholders at defined checkpoints
Qualifikationen:
- 7+ years of experience in solution and software architecture and development of scalable, distributed applications and data/AI-driven solutions
- Proven expertise in designing end-to-end solution architectures across system landscapes and modular application architectures, including integration frameworks and API-based communication
- Ability to translate requirements into holistic solution designs and implementable software architecture concepts
- Proven ability to define and communicate architectural concepts
- Ideally, prior experience in designing and scaling platform-based solutions for mathematical optimization problems. Experience with generative AI, conversational interfaces, and chatbot solutions is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience with cloud-based architecture (preferably Microsoft Azure) & Lakehouse services/tools (like MS Fabric, Databricks, or similar), including experience with cloud-native design, microservices, and event-driven architecture
- Strong communication skills in English and good German
- Bonus: Experience with AI/ML-based optimization solutions, chatbot frameworks (e.g., LLM-based systems) and enterprise data architecture
