Chemielaborant / Research Chemist (m/w/d)

• Follows broad frameworks to operate equipment needed to carry out trial work, and to ensure samples are available and delivered on time. Resolves routine issues with minimal senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval.

Scope:

• Support the development new synthesis routes and processes taking safety, scalable, sustainability and cost-effectiveness into account.
• Planning of organic reactions with consideration of safe laboratory practice
• Undertake organic reactions in the laboratory, using a wide range of synthetic and purification skills
• Ability to employ analytical techniques to analyse reactions and samples (incl. TLC, IR, GC, LC, NMR, MS)
• Optimize chemical processes and workflows
• Exvellent protocolling and reporting of scientific data and progress
• Communication skills in an international and diverse environment

• Technical chemistry education, or a BS or MS in Organic Chemistry. Industrial experience would be advantageous
• Good knowledge of English
• strong knowledge of theoretical and practical organic chemistry and organic synthesis
• Expertise and experience in a modern chemical laboratory environment
• Team working skills and independent working
• Excellent understanding of purification techniques
• Basic skills with Excel, Word and Powerpoint
