Our client is looking for an experienced HSE Lead to join a major CSA Data Centre construction project in Frankfurt. The project is entering a critical construction phase, with excavation completed and shell & core construction, concrete works, steel structures, and heavy lifting activities now underway.
This is an urgent requirement for an experienced HSE professional who can ensure the highest safety standards across a fast-paced construction environment.
TASKS:
Lead all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) activities for the CSA scope on site.
Monitor and enforce compliance with local legislation, project requirements, and company HSE standards.
Oversee the HSE performance of subcontractors working across the construction site.
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE documentation, including safety plans, risk assessments, method statements, and site procedures.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
Support incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure safe execution of heavy lifting operations, crane activities, and high-risk construction work.
Work closely with the General Contractor and project management team to promote a strong safety culture.
Provide daily HSE guidance and support to site personnel throughout the construction lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an HSE Lead / HSE Manager on large-scale construction projects.
Previous experience on Data Centre, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Energy, or other complex construction projects.
Strong knowledge of heavy lifting operations, crane safety, and construction site safety management.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating HSE activities across site.
Ability to prepare and review HSE documentation, safety plans, risk assessments, and permit systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent English is essential.
German is advantageous but not mandatory.
