Use of Cookies
1. Description and Scope of Data Processing
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored inside or by the internet browser of your computer. If you open a website, a cookie may be stored on your operating system. This cookie contains a specific string of characters that enables the browser to uniquely identify you when returning to the website. Our website only uses transient cookies, as some elements of our website require that the browser can be identified even after a page change. This makes the use of so-called transient cookies (session cookies) necessary. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests of your browser can be assigned to the common session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly, because some elements of our website require that the browser can be re-identified again. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
2. Purposes of Data Processing
The purpose of the use of technically necessary transient cookies and thus the corresponding data processing is to enable as well as simplify the use of our website for you. Some functions of our website cannot be offered without the use of these cookies. For these, it is necessary that your browser is recognized even after a page change. This applies, for example, to the adoption of language settings or the memorization of search terms. The user data collected through technically necessary cookies are not used to create user profiles.
3. Legal Basis for Data Processing
The legal basis for the temporary storage of data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DS-GVO. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes for data collection listed above. In no case do we use the collected data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies for analysis purposes, if you have given your consent in this regard, is Art. 6 (1) lit. a DS-GVO.
4. Duration of Storage, Possibility of Objection and Removal
Cookies are stored on your computer and transmitted to our website. Therefore, you as a user have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can disable or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for our website, it may no longer be possible to use all functions of the website in full.
5. Change Cookie Settings
Borlabs Cookie does not delete any cookies that have already been set when you opt out but removes the entire JavaScript and thus prevents tracking systems such as Google Analytics from being integrated.
An opt-out for Google Analytics therefore does not set an extra do-not-track cookie. Instead, the service is simply no longer integrated.
After the opt-out, Javascript is only removed on the next page load, as the user has already been tracked for the current page load. The “Reload after consent” option can be used to ensure that the visitor’s browser automatically reloads, so that the opt-out is directly active.
